You can easily adapt ‘I spy’ for children of different ages. The original PC I Spy game was later re-released as I Spy School Days. Later games would be released following themes similar to books in the I Spy Classic series, often being named directly after a book. As the game progresses, the children get the letters of the word and have to guess what it is. The I Spy PC series began in 1997 with the first game, I Spy. The other players can ask if a particular letter is also in the object’s name. This time, the player gives the first letter of the object as a clue. The starting player chooses an object that everyone can see. That child will then be It and can select a new object to “spy”. Clues can be colors, sizes, textures, anything! Keep offering more clues until one of the children guess what the object is. The other children can take turns guessing what the object is but after a few guesses, It should offer another clue. The child who’s It will then begin to describe the object by offering one clue at a time while saying the following rhyme. That child will look around the room and find one object thzt the others kids will need to try and guess. Select one child to start the game and be It. You can play indoors for a rainy day, a road trip, a classroom activity, and to keep the kids busy during a party. “I spy” is a guessing game where one player (the spy or it) chooses an object within sight and tries to make the other children guess it by giving clues one after the other.
